Nearly 200 NETA Accredited Company representatives, Alliance Partners, and Corporate Alliance participants gathered on Monday, March 10, 2025, for NETA’s 2025 Annual Member and Alliance Meetings. The annual meetings are held the day before PowerTest and are the traditional kickoff to the conference.
NETA MEMBER MEETING
This gathering of representatives and technicians from NETA Accredited Companies brought reports from all sides of the association. Reports and program updates were provided on the Qulified Electrical Equipment Maintenance Company / Qualified Electrical Equipment Maintenance Worker (QEMC / QEMW) program, the NETA Apprenticeship Program, membership, and exam planning. NETA Accredited Companies were reminded of their recertification requirements.
The meeting also included the nomination and affirmation of NETA’s Board of Directors and officers.

Another meeting highlight was the NETA Membership Recognition ceremony honoring more than 50 NETA volunteers. Recognition certificates were presented to those individuals who truly help execute the work of the Association.

NETA also introduced new NETA Accredited Company Awards, acknowledging three exceptional NETA Accredited Company representatives for their outstanding service to NETA and their companies.

Additional Committee Reports
- The NETA Training Committee Chair provided an update on the NETA Apprenticeship Program, now in the final step of the U.S. Department of Labor approval process.
- NETA’s Standard Review Council Chair announced the release of ANSI/NETA ATS-2025, Standard for Acceptance Testing Specifications for Electrical Power Equipment and Systems,which was approved by ANSI on February 20, 2025. Copies of the new edition were made available at PowerTest25 and on the NETA Bookstore at NETAWorld.org.
- NETA’s Industry Awareness and Promotions and Marketing Committee Chairs highlighted NETA’s expansion of collaborative initiatives with NETA Industry and Corporate Alliance Partners as well as influential trade media partners. Participants were invited to engage with NETA in these thought leadership enterprises, working together on co-branded programs that advance the industry and their organizations.
- The NETA Conference Committee Chair welcomed Members and Alliance Partners to PowerTest25. Attendees were provided an overview of PowerTest25 highlights, hospitality suites, networking events, and technical training sessions.
The Chair wrapped up the meeting by announcing that the second Electrical Power Innovations Conference — EPIC26 — will be held in October 2026. Calls for speakers and sponsors will open in June 2025. Location and exact dates of EPIC26 will be announced in the weeks ahead.
