Electrical Test Tech LLC (ETT) works with local utility companies, electrical contractors, and facility maintenance contractors for various federal and commercial facilities in the Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia region. Their work consists of acceptance testing and maintenance testing.
ETT was founded by Dave Haskin of Welcome, Maryland, in 2019. Haskin has been working in the electrical testing industry since 2008 and was excited to start his own venture along with partners Scott Callaghan and Steve Kelly Jr., who each have over 15 years of commercial electrical experience. Haskin became a Level 4 NETA Senior Test Technician in 2019 and is now excited to share his knowledge and leadership with the rest of the industry as an owner.
“We are thrilled to be a NETA accredited company because we believe ETT offers quality workmanship and professional customer service, which goes hand in hand with NETA’s core values,” notes Dave Haskin. “NETA maintains checks and balances that keep our company striving for higher standards. Electrical Test Tech is looking forward to contributing to NETA and the development of the changing trade by being a helpful and reliable partner now and into the future.”
The main services ETT has to offer include acceptance and maintenance testing of electrical apparatus. They perform acceptance and maintenance testing on low-voltage, medium-voltage, and high-voltage equipment. ETT also performs thermal imaging, ultrasonic inspections, power quality metering, and electrical switching of medium-voltage equipment.
While Electrical Test Tech’s main territory is focused on the DMV, they have also serviced outside areas including Alabama, Nebraska, and Florida, and are open to international support depending on the needs of their customers. ETT also understands that to be a successful company they must have the right personnel in place. The company is privileged to have an amazing group of technicians who are dedicated, professional, and hard-working. ETT’s employees show up day in and day out with a caring attitude to make sure that the customer is always taken care of, and the ownership group is grateful and excited to see what comes next!
“NETA welcomes Electrical Test Tech as a NETA Accredited Company,” says Eric Beckman, PE, President of IPS PowerServeand current NETA President. “NETA Accredited Companies (NACs) help advance the electrical power systems industry and ensure the safety and reliability of the electrical power system. Achieving NETA accreditation requires dedication and persistence, and we congratulate the company and its professionals on achieving this milestone event.”
