USPPS Training Lab for Students

The NETA Approved Military Organization (NAMO) program recognizes the U.S. Army 249th Engineer Battalion, the U.S. Navy Seabees Mobile Utilities Support Equipment (MUSE), and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Power Reliability Enhancement Program (PREP). They all have access to the NETA Certification program, NETA training materials, the PowerTest annual conference, and many other benefits. This program aligns with the goals and objectives of the 249th, MUSE, and PREP, and its implementation and success are bolstered by the resources and expertise provided by the U.S. Army Prime Power School (USPPS).

PRIME POWER SCHOOL VISIT

In May, NETA Board President and NAMO Committee Chair Dan Hook was supported by NETA Director of Membership Amy Willams and NAMO Committee members Dave Kreger and Ken Morton during a site visit to the Prime Power School in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Commander Fratello, First Sargeant Cully, and Supervisory Training Management Specialist Parker provided a tour with a presentation on training performed at the school.

Through its ongoing NAMO partnerships, NETA is working to ensure the students have current industry-level educational opportunities, support critical infrastructure, and contribute to industry workforce development opportunities through collaborative training solutions.

NAMO INITIATIVE

The NAMO Committee will continue to attend USPPS graduations and encourage its students to achieve NETA certification. This effort is part of a broader initiative to enhance the professional qualifications of those in the NAMO program, ensuring they are well-equipped for the testing industry. By promoting the NETA certification, the committee aims to highlight the importance of industry-recognized credentials that can significantly improve job prospects and career advancement opportunities.

Additionally, the committee hopes to continue collaboration with all qualified military organizations by providing technicians with the resources and support needed to achieve this valuable certification. Through these actions, the committee is committed to fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
