In writing my first President’s Desk message I found myself reflecting on those who laid the foundation for the InterNational Electrical Testing Association it is now my privilege to serve as NETA Board President.
It is daunting to look back on NETA’s history for insight from the people who built the Association from a concept to a coveted accreditation protecting critical infrastructure. What struck me as noteworthy is that for over 52 years, NETA has set the standard for an entire industry based on the work of volunteers. In other words, NETA’s legacy is a legacy of service.
From our founders to our Board and committee members, NETA was built by volunteers, governed by volunteers, and supported by volunteers investing their time and talent to maintain and deliver a commitment to our industry: Do things the right way, the best way, and build on the NETA mission as an unwavering champion for safety and reliability in electrical testing. But a commitment without action is merely a belief. And it was NETA volunteers who, through their legacy of service, powered a belief in doing things the right way into a commitment that now defines a mission-critical industry.
It is with great enthusiasm and humility that I step into this role. I am honored to have the opportunity to serve our esteemed organization and continue the legacy of excellence that has been established by my predecessors.
I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Eric Beckman for his outstanding leadership and dedication during his three-year term as President. Eric’s vision, commitment, and tireless efforts have significantly contributed to NETA’s future success. His contributions have not only strengthened our organization but have also had a lasting impact on the industry. Eric, on behalf of all NETA members, thank you for your exemplary service and the remarkable legacy you leave behind.
I am excited about the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. Together, we will continue to advance NETA’s mission, fostering innovation, promoting best practices, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and reliability in the electrical testing industry. I encourage each of you to stay engaged, share your expertise, and actively participate in our initiatives and events.
Thank you for your continued support and commitment to NETA. I look forward to working to build on our achievements and drive our organization to new heights.
